FAQs Information
What is the difference between TitanWare and most of the non-stick pots and pans on the market today?
Most non-stick surfaces are sprayed, glued or baked on. Therefore, they will easily chip, peel, crack, flake or blister. The TitanWare cooking surface (Quantanium) is made from Titanium, one of the lightest yet hardest metals known to man. The non-stick titanium surface is permanently embedded into the cookware so it will not chip, peel, crack, flake or blister...guaranteed for 30 years. TitanWare has tri-riveted handles. Most other non-stick cookware has handles that are screwed on or spot-welded. TitanWare is oven safe up to 500 degrees and all TitanWare lids have reservoirs to prevent boil over and also have built in steam vents.

What material is used on the non-stick cooking surface of TitanWare?
Titanium, one of the lightest, toughest metals known to man.

What does NSF mean?
NSF stand for National Sanitation Foundation; a non-profit organization that certifies cookware (and other products) for commercial use. TitanWare is NSF certified. Please call 800-625-3777 for information to verify NSF certification.
Will TitanWare scratch?
Any metal can scratch. If you scratch your TitanWare Cookware (perhaps with a knife) the scratch will remain just a blemish. It will not peel, crack or flake off. The scratch will not affect the non-stick properties of the TitanWare. TitanWare will remain non-stick, guaranteed for 30 years.

Should TitanWare be "seasoned", and if so, how do you do it?
It is recommended that you season your cookware before using it for the first time, and re-seasoning several times a year thereafter. Please read the Instructions and Care on this website, or see the Care and Use insert in each box of TitanWare.

I like to watch my food cook...why doesn't TitanWare have glass lids?
All TitanWare lids are vented reservoir lids. These lids perform several great functions AND they don't shatter if you drop them.

What is a vented reservoir lid?
Vented reservoir lids have built in steam vents that can be opened and closed with one finger. The reservoir built into each lid collects liquid that may otherwise boil over the side of the cookware onto the stovetop and onto the bottom of the pan (the most difficult part to clean). Since the boiled-over liquid collects in the reservoir lid, your cleanup is as easy as lifting the lid and pouring the liquid back into the pan.

How do I clean something that may have burned in my TitanWare cookware?
Allow the TitanWare to cool. Then, wipe out large food pieces or particles with a paper towel. Then simply wash with a warm, soapy sponge, rinse and dry.

Is TitanWare dishwasher safe?
Yes.

I understand that TitanWare is made from one solid piece of aluminum. Why aluminum?
Aluminum is the preferred material used by Chefs in commercial kitchens because it heats up very quickly and evenly.

Is TitanWare "aluminum" Cookware safe to cook in?
The cooking surface of TitanWare cookware is COMPLETELY covered with Titanium, therefore the food will never come in contact with the aluminum. For that reason, TitanWare is completely safe.

Is TitanWare oven safe?
Yes, up to 500 degrees farenheit. (Please remember to remove rubber handle grips before putting into the oven).

Do I have to remove the rubber handle grips before I put them into the oven?
Yes.

Will the handles of TitanWare cookware get hot in the oven?
Yes. Please use an oven mitt or other protective device when removing TitanWare from the oven.

Will TitanWare work equally well on electric, gas or propane stoves and ovens?
Yes.

Is TitanWare safe in a convection oven?
Yes.

Is TitanWare recommended for glass top stoves?
Yes., but please refer to the users manual for your stove. Please be careful when placing and removing TitanWare Cookware from your glass top stove as not to scratch it accidentally. Most manufacturers recommend against sliding any cookware on the glass surface.

Can TitanWare be used in a microwave oven?
NO.

I understand that you do not have to use butter, grease, oil, fat or spray when cooking with TitanWare. I like to use butter etc, in my recipes. Will that affect the cookware in any way?
Although you do not HAVE TO use oil, fat, butter, grease etc, that does not mean you cannot use them. Using butter, grease, oil, lard, fat or spray will have no affect on your cookware.

What heat settings are recommended for cooking with TitanWare?
Please see the Care and Use insert in each box of TitanWare. In most cases, low to medium heat settings are preferable.

If I accidentally scratch the TitanWare cooking surface, what should I do?
If you were to scratch your TitanWare Cookware (perhaps with a knife) the scratch will remain just a blemish. It will not peel, crack or flake off. The scratch will not affect the nonstick properties of the TitanWare. TitanWare will remain nonstick, guaranteed for 30 years.

How should I clean the outside of TitanWare? The bottom?
Just warm soapy water is necessary on the sides. Any cleanser or aluminum cleaner may be used on the bottom.

I saw an in-store TitanWare demonstration but did not purchase TitanWare at that time; can I order now at the discounted price that I saw at the demo?
Unfortunately, due to contractual agreements with our retail partners, we cannot honor "one time" specials that you may have seen offered in select retail stores.

Can I buy individual pieces of TitanWare cookware separately?
Some individual pieces are available as "open stock" items from time to time. Please call the Customer Service number to see if the particular piece you want is currently available.

What happens if I lose the grips or a lid?
Call customer service. We usually have grips and lids in stock for purchase.

Are other types or sizes of pans available from TitanWare?
Currently there are no other sizes or styles available to the general public.

Is TitanWare available in any other colors?
No. Since TitanWare was designed for commercial kitchens, aesthetics was not our main priority. TitanWare is commercial-grade restaurant quality cookware, but unfortunately is also rather drab.
